Our Story
At the very young age of 14, our beloved daughter, Morgan Danielle Manning suddenly died from a rare heart condition called CPVT (Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia). CPVT is a malfunction in the heart’s electrical system, causing the heart to stop beating suddenly and unexpectedly. The prevalence of CPVT is estimated to be about 1 in 10,000 people. However, the true widespread presence of this condition is unknown and there currently is no cure. When Morgan died, it felt like a piece of our heart was suddenly gone. That’s where the name A Piece of My Heart Foundation came from. We are determined to ultimately find a cure for this disease. Thank you for partnering with us to save lives!
Our Mission
